Overview
Mectron needed a unified cloud platform to manage building automation across a portfolio of commercial properties. Existing systems were siloed - HVAC, lighting, access control, and energy metering each had separate interfaces, making coordinated management and data-driven optimization impossible.
The Challenge
The primary challenge was integrating dozens of different protocols and vendor systems (BACnet, Modbus, KNX, proprietary APIs) into a coherent data model. Additionally, the platform needed to serve multiple stakeholder groups - facility managers, energy consultants, and building owners - each with different needs and access levels.
Our Solution
Ermit built a cloud-native integration platform with protocol-agnostic edge gateways that normalize data from heterogeneous building systems. The platform features role-based dashboards, automated anomaly detection, and energy optimization recommendations. APIs enable third-party integrations with existing property management tools.
Results
The platform now manages multiple commercial buildings. Energy consumption optimization has delivered measurable savings, while facility managers report significantly reduced time for routine operations through the unified dashboard.
