📲 What is Allerte DPC?
Allerte DPC is the official app of the Italian Civil Protection Department for receiving public alerts and warnings in case of imminent or ongoing emergencies, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, extreme weather events, industrial or nuclear incidents, and other serious hazards.
🔔 Do I need to register to receive alerts?
No. The app does not require any registration or personal data. You can use it immediately after installation.
🌍 How do notifications work?
You will receive alerts:
- based on your current location (if GPS is enabled),
- for geographic areas you manually select.
📡 Does the app work if it’s closed?
Yes. Push notifications work even if the app is closed, but to ensure reliable delivery, we recommend:
- adding Allerte DPC to your device’s battery optimization whitelist,
- keeping notification permissions enabled.
🛑 What happens if I don’t use the app for a long time?
Some devices may automatically disable the app or revoke permissions. We recommend opening the app periodically and checking your device settings.
🔐 Does the app collect personal data?
No. Allerte DPC does not collect or store any personal data. Your subscription preferences are stored locally on your device only.
🗺️ Does the app show maps and dynamic data?
Yes. The app includes a map showing the areas affected by alerts and may display dynamic content from official services.
🧪 Can I see past notifications?
Yes. A notification history is available at any time within the app.
